United States to the RESCUE Again????

Go to Syria Or Not to Go? That is the question. I was going to avoid Syria but It's HOT right now so I thought I would briefly talk about it and offer all of you a chance to give me your opinion on the topic. First, I'd like to be clear that I am not an expert on the topic by no means and as matter of fact I normally stay away from these type of topics because I am weak in these areas. However, right now it's HOT and I have an Opinion and want to get more opinions on the subject. So please be free in the end to leave a comment and tell your opinion on Syria? Ok In simple terms.. no matter where you turn you here that President Obama and officials in the white house state that they have proof that Syria is evil . They have made claims that they used deadly gases on their own people..  President Obama has said that this move violates treaties and requires action. I don't think the debate is whether or not they indeed did anything wrong, but simply should the United States get involved ?  Is it necessary? will it prove anything? can it be done as effectively and quick as Obama says? These are the many questions people from both sides are asking. below I find links from people for and against the idea.

John Boehner on board with plans to attack Syria

Here's my take on the matter. I personally don't see why we should get involved in this issue. I do agree with others who believe this is not our battle to fight and will only make matters worse. I think for one we have no personal gain what so ever and I don't think  not doing anything will affect us in a negative way. If  I am wrong please tell me how and why. I think this time we, The United States, simply need to sit this one out. So what do you think? Please keep all comments friendly to everyone including the president. I believe even if you hate his way of running the country and disagree with his policies he is still the president.
**** I wanted to post this before he did his address and plea to congress about holding out on the vote. So now we are waiting on Russia who plans on talking Syria out of using the deadly gases again but President Obama wants us to still be cautious and ready  to prepare to attack. My take on this is as following: well it has not changed really. I hope it works because I still feel that we should not get involved. Now again, I open it up to discussion because I am not an expert.

  1. I read your post with some enthusiasm because I did follow the Syria conflict, and had some very fervent beliefs on the matter. On the one hand, the rebel group has ties to Al-Qaeda. I found an article last summer that reports on it's leanings: http://www.cnn.com/2013/06/14/world/meast/syria-civil-war. Here, it describes members of the infamous Al-Nusra front having ties to Al-Qaeda. Yet, our president wanted to arm those people... Then, the American public calls the right wing radicals when they call Obama a terrorist.
Maybe that is an exaggerated claim, and I, for one, don't put much trust in the idea that Mitt Romney would have done a whole lot of a better job. But one side is associated with Al-Qaeda and Assad has openly admitted to being associated with Hezbollah. At the time, I felt our option should be simple. If you have two people that want to kill you fighting each other, leave them be... But I guess not.
